Hi, I'm Yuriy 👋

QA Automation Engineer — Python · Pytest · Selenium · API testing · CI/CD

I design and build test automation frameworks from scratch — UI, API, and backend. Before QA I worked as a Python backend developer, so I'm comfortable going deep into the systems I test. Outside of work I build side projects across low-latency trading systems, neurotech, and e-commerce.

What I work with

  • Test automation: Python, Pytest, Selenium + Selenoid, Page Object / Screenplay, custom waits & sync utilities, parallel runs
  • API & backend: REST and gRPC (requests, httpx), PostgreSQL, contract and integration testing
  • CI/CD & infra: GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Docker, Allure, TestRail
  • Observability: log and metrics analysis with Grafana / Loki
  • Also fluent in: Rust, Node.js, JavaScript/React, MongoDB — when a project needs more than tests

Featured projects

Polymarket Event Sniper — Rust · Python

High-frequency trading research system for prediction markets. Event-to-order pipeline targeting sub-250 ms internal latency: WebSocket ingestion, Aho-Corasick news matching, EIP-712 order signing, multi-RPC transaction fanout with fee bumping. Risk controls as first-class citizens — circuit breaker, position limits, kill switch. Unit, integration, and Foundry fork tests; ADR-driven docs. Includes poly-rag — an in-repo RAG tool (Python) for semantic code search over the codebase. 300+ commits.

🧠 athena-tmr-lucid — Python

Sleep-research engine for the Muse S EEG headset: BLE streaming, EEG/IMU/PPG feature extraction (band powers, HRV, motion), a trainable REM classifier (calibrated, class-balanced logistic regression), and a REM-gated audio cue scheduler with hysteresis and arousal-safety guards. CLI with 25+ commands, pytest suite, GitHub Actions, reproducible validation protocols for every pilot stage.

📊 MSE-telegram-bot — Node.js · MongoDB

Telegram bot for Experience Sampling Method (ESM/DES) psychology research: randomized survey scheduler with per-user timezones, an AI-assisted response validation pipeline, and personal statistics for participants. Jest tests, Mermaid architecture docs.

🛒 Geekinko — React · Express · live: geekinko.com

Production e-commerce storefront selling real goods: catalog, orders, delivery and payment integrations, CRM sync, AI shopping assistants. Guarded production deploys and per-branch preview environments via GitHub Actions; PM2 + nginx on a VPS.

🌌 whynotusethis.website — Three.js

My personal playground — a collection of digital experiments and ideas implemented in code, with a 3D wireframe landing built in Three.js. Source
