`vulcanus-cliffs-NOTES.md` led with UPDATE 8, which predates both the five-route closure of the ore mechanism and the chunk-border result. A reader following the banner - which is what the banner is for - got a stale picture: the residual quoted as 25 or 14 cells over 3 regions rather than 44 over 15, the ore mechanism as an open search rather than a closed impossibility, and `autoplace_controls` as an entity-only lever. UPDATE 9 leads with the two results that supersede it, states what they do NOT say (14 of the 44 are not on a border; the enrichment is not the rule firing), and flags the two corrections needed to read anything older.
