Yup, I totally understand. I don't expect you to merge it in. If/when you decide to implement the feature yourself, I hope the documentation / design provides some ideas. It's been working well for me. |

This PR is fully vibe-coded. Given that I am not a Rust programmer, I do not know if the Agents (a team of GPT-5.5) have done a good job.
Having said that, I have guided the work and am using the new functionality locally in my repos. I think these code changes can provide a useful set of ideas if you decide to pick this up as a feature that tach should support.
