in which lazer version was this fixed?

![](img/report-command.jpg "Example of using the !report command")

Chat misbehaviour is the most common infringement. To report it, use [the `!report` command](https://osu.ppy.sh/community/forums/topics/34843), preferably in the channel where the infringement(s) took place. Don't feel stressed: if your message starts with `!report` and a space, and you sent it from within osu!(stable) or an IRC client, **it is only visible to moderators** and no one else in the chat. You can also use the report function via the osu!(stable) client's [in-game overlay](#stable-reports) as depicted below if you are still concerned.

the "it is only visible to moderators" reads like the moderators are able to see the command in chat rather than the report. As it stands right now any and all "!" commands are purged from lazer/web chat. At least that is how I read it, so idk if it would be better to just say that the command is not visible in chat.

reports are still only visible to moderators, and the current wording sounds pretty clear to me. i don't think adding technical details of how chat commands work is necessary here, and idk how to convey what you're describing in a way that doesn't just make this part longer for little gain

ppy/osu-web#12717 — I think it's external to lazer.

ok so that would correspond to https://osu.ppy.sh/home/changelog/web/2026.210.0
... but does that necessarily mean that the change affects lazer atm? i don't have a good enough understanding of how that works (would be good if someone could test to confirm)

!faq commands aren't visible in osu!(lazer), so presumably, !report commands aren't visible either.

like I said, any and all ! commands are purged. !report !faq !help, etc are not visible to moderators or users outside of the user that sent them
