I study people in different environments, and I build the tools to do it.
Mixed-methods research associate at UCLA Integrated Substance Use and Addiction Programs (ISAP) — The environments change. The job is turning messy human feedback into decisions, and that does not.
- End-to-end survey research: survey design, Qualtrics programming (API, automated response pipelines), field deployment for RFA processes and accessible sites, extraction from paper forms, analysis, reporting.
- Mixed methods: staff and exit interviews, focus groups, ethnographic fieldwork.
- Applied data + ML: Python (FastAPI, pandas, scikit-learn), SQL (Postgres/SQLite), VLM/Teleform pipelines, RAG,
- Build, not plan: public-facing platforms, dashboards and databases, full-stack internal tools, production infrastructure, mobile apps (still in development)
- super.ucla.edu — Substance Use Evidence-Based Resource repository used by behavioral-health, educational, and service providers across California. Designed, built (with help), and maintained end-to-end (data, UX, infra).
- Internal tools (private): full-stack tools with React and SQL/stateless cloud (e.g. firebase), RAG research databases, LMS platform, workflow automation for survey/interview data cleaning, home-server running CI/CD and monitoring across ~75 containerized services.
