Okay not sure what the issues are about. No-brain-context PR is not working out right now. Will leave this parked here, in case I need it later when I continue my two other PRs and HVX issues show up again. |

I had these changing sitting on my computer, touched last a long time ago. I vaguely remember making these changes, fixing an actual bug in some test, but I don't remember at all where or under which circumstances.
Proceed with caution with this PR. Wanted to offer this bugfix as a PR despite my memory.
