Release list
Codogotchi 3.0.2
Bugfix for the menubar Active Pets list:
- Dedupes fold-aliased hidden keys so Combined mode never shows two identical Show Combined Panel rows (e.g. a lingering sessions-on hide for an archived Claude Code session plus an explicit Hide Combined Panel)
Codogotchi 3.0.1
New default settings — matches the developer's own day-to-day configuration:
- All platforms now default to Minimalist mode with per-session pets enabled
- Session cap defaults to Unlimited
- Combined-mode Minimalist panel on by default
- Longer idle-escalation timers (10 min Impatient, 30 min Frustrated), pet never auto-hides
- Faster session archive/prune (1h / 12h) so stale sessions clear out sooner
- Skip Weekends on by default; Prune Session confirmation off by default
Existing installs: any setting you've already touched is untouched by this update — only settings you never changed pick up the new default.
Codogotchi 3.0.0
Notarized DMG — no more Gatekeeper quarantine workaround. Also ships Sparkle in-app updates (Check for Updates… in the menu bar).
What's new
- Notarized, stapled DMG build (Developer ID signing + Apple notarization)
- In-app update checks via Sparkle
Codogotchi 2.7.0
The final v3-scope feature release. Highlights:
Sessions
- New Sessions settings tab — every coding-tool session grouped into Active / Live / Archived lifecycle tiers, with per-row Show/Hide/Prune and bulk Show All Live / Prune All Archived actions.
- Session timers are now yours to configure: Archive Session After Idle (30m–8h) and Prune Archived Sessions (12h–7d) dropdowns, applied live — no relaunch.
- Menubar pet menu tiered by the same lifecycle (Active pets, Live submenu, Capped submenu).
- Pets you explicitly hid are pinned against session-cap eviction, and idle-hidden pets now behave exactly like user-hidden ones — Show always brings them back.
RPG
- New RPG settings surface: live HUD preview, HUD mode picker (All Pets / Most Recent Pet / Hidden), health configuration (decay hours, regen minutes, Skip Weekends), and configurable mild/severe sickness trigger thresholds.
Fixes
- Prompt-elapsed timer survives hide/show and idle dismissal instead of resetting.
- Settings window no longer grows when visiting the RPG tab.
- Animation badge no longer reordered on every heartbeat tick.
After dragging to /Applications, clear quarantine: xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Codogotchi.app
Codogotchi 2.6.4
What's new in 2.6.4
Session labels
- VS Code: session pets now pick up the LLM-assigned chat title from VS Code / VS Code Insiders' own chat-session store (with a Copilot CLI fallback)
- Antigravity: titles resolve from the conversation's own transcript checkpoint, with a cross-conversation recap scan as fallback
Pet state fixes
- Short prompts no longer stick on "Thinking" — fixed an out-of-order hook-write race, and Antigravity's trailing step event no longer clobbers the finished turn's Standby
- Force Idle now clears the prompt timer chip — the chip could previously keep counting forever after a force-idle
Session management
- Prune Session right-click affordance is now available in Minimalist mode (previously Own-mode only)
- Enabling session pets on a platform idle more than 2 hours now correctly carries the existing pet over as Session 1
UI polish
- Prompt timer glyph and label merged into one chip
- Pet panels can now drag across display boundaries
- Settings: idle-dismiss option renamed to "Hide Idle Pet After"
Install: drag to /Applications, then clear quarantine:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Codogotchi.app
Codogotchi 2.6.0

This release focuses on making multi-agent sessions easier to recognize and manage at a glance.
Highlights
- Automatically resolves and persists LLM session labels so Codogotchi panels map clearly to their agent threads.
- Adds the PromptTimerChip to show how long a prompt has been processing, with sensible reset behavior on completion, dismissal, idle, and Force Idle.
- Adds right-click panel affordances for sync label, hide all other pets, mode switching, panel sizing, and Force Idle flows.
- Improves cleanup of stale/zombie panel entries so menu state tracks live session slices more accurately.
- Updates platform presentation with the AI mark and Antigravity hook-row color.

Fix: right-click "Rename..." missing on session pets
A regression from the SessionLabel-unification change (2.5.0) hid the
right-click "Rename..." affordance on any session-keyed pet that had
never been renamed before — the affordance was gated on already having
a custom label, but an unrenamed session pet's label was left nil (its
"Session N" text was synthesized only for display). Every pet now
resolves its default label ("Session N", or the platform name) up
front, so Rename shows consistently for every pet, session or not.
No other changes.

Codogotchi v2: one pet per agent thread
The v2 release line, all in one jump from v1.1.2. Minimal screen real estate, maximum AI agent signal.
Per-session pets (Phase 15)
- A pet for every active agent thread — each Claude Code / Codex / Cursor / Copilot / Antigravity session gets its own pet window, with per-session labels, rename, and last-prompt tooltips
- Session caps with eviction & promotion — cap concurrent pets per platform; idle sessions yield their slot to active newcomers (or are protected, your choice), and windows inherit the evicted sibling's position
- "Session Cap Reached" speech bubble — when a new session is blocked by the cap, the longest-lived pet says so, with a Settings deep-link and an X to dismiss
Display modes (Phases 13–14)
- Per-platform customization — every platform independently set to Own, Combined, Minimalist, or Off
- Minimalist mode — a compact platform-chip + animation-badge strip instead of a full pet, with its own size slider
- Pet assignment — assign a different pet to each platform from the redesigned Pet tab
Settings redesign
- Themed tab strip, hooks table, and a two-column Customization tab housing the full Platform Settings matrix (mode / sessions / cap)
- New Pet Idle Escalation Timing (Impatient → Frustrated) and Evict Session Pets policies
Chrome & badges
- Badge family scaled +14%; right-click and left-click-drag work from every chrome panel in every mode
- Per-session SOA ticket/gate badges routed to the session that owns them
Under the hood
- Schema v8: sliced
state.d/per-session state,customization.json,assignments.json,rpg-state.json - Menubar dropdown polish, Force Idle escape hatch, pet visibility persistence, dozens of session-cap/gate-reader correctness fixes (see
docs/product/delivery/phase-15/post-phase-15-mainline-sweep.md)
