Update to v3.6.x to allow populate on documents etc..

Actually, I think I'll bump it all the way to 3.8.x, I don't think there have been any breaking changes and the new updates that have been coming out are really nice.

HI .. you’re right, i just tried it out with 3.6 .. guess it’s worth to go with 3.8

@darimpulso are you actively using your branch of the mongoose-models module? I'd be happy to merge this PR for you. Would you please fix any conflicts and bump the version number in package.json? Then I'll merge and publish.
