Auto-generated draft RA/SWP data file for Fyla Iceblink Supercontinuum Fibre Laser (documents/fyla-supercon.yaml).

The web pages, official Word documents and PDFs are all rendered from this one file —
check the rendered-documents artefact on the docgen workflow run for this branch to
review the actual output documents.

Closes #7

Generated by Claude Code routine from the linked issue. Must be reviewed and verified by a qualified person before merging or use.

Update: the manufacturer datasheet (Iceblink V3, Rev. 04) was supplied directly and used to resolve most of the original [VERIFY: ...] placeholders — see below.

Review checklist

  • Risk Assessment content reviewed for completeness and accuracy
  • Safe Work Procedure content reviewed for completeness and accuracy
  • All technical specifications verified against manufacturer documentation
  • ra.risks has sufficient scenarios (8 minimum) — currently 10
  • Emergency procedures are accurate and location-specific
  • All [VERIFY: ...] and [Insert ...] placeholders resolved
  • meta.status updated from Draft to Approved when ready

Confirmed from the manufacturer datasheet (Iceblink V3, Rev. 04)

  • Spectral range: 450–2300 nm; visible band 450–850 nm
  • Average power: ≥3 W total, of which ≥150 mW is in the visible band (so the majority of output power is invisible near-/short-wave infrared)
  • Repetition rate: 80 ± 2 MHz; pulse duration ≤10 ps at 1060 nm (≤250 ps estimated across the full spectrum, per manufacturer)
  • Laser class: Class 4, with the manufacturer's own warning label confirming both visible and invisible radiation hazards
  • Safety Connections: Interlock / Key (no separate emergency-stop button or shutter is documented — an earlier draft assumed a shutter and this has been corrected)
  • Power requirements: 110–220V, 50/60 Hz; cooling: thermoelectric + air

Items still to verify

The datasheet is a summary spec sheet, not the full operating manual, so these remain open:

  • Exact step-by-step interlock/key-switch test procedure
  • Whether output power is adjustable via the manual or USB software control interface, for reduced-power alignment
  • Required laser safety eyewear OD rating across the full 450–2300 nm band — needs a laser safety officer's calculation per AS/NZS IEC 60825.1 using the confirmed pulse parameters
  • Confirmation that opening the interlock/key switch is the correct immediate emission-disable action, and whether any additional emergency-stop control exists
  • Emergency contact numbers (University Security, Safety Officer) — placeholders left for site-specific details

A reviewer with access to the full Fyla Iceblink operating manual should confirm these before approval.

Resolves most [VERIFY] placeholders using the manufacturer datasheet
(Iceblink V3, Rev. 04): 450-2300 nm spectral range, >=3W average power
(>=150mW visible), 80MHz/<=10ps pulses, Class 4, Interlock+Key safety
connections, 110-220V mains. Corrects earlier draft's unconfirmed
assumption of a laser shutter — the datasheet documents only an
interlock connector and key switch. Remaining [VERIFY] items now
require the full operating manual or a laser safety officer's OD
calculation, not the datasheet.

References now derive as RA-A28-SAIL-121C-fyla-supercon (building +
rooms replace abbrev + number since main commit 892c677); the in-body
citation of SAIL-RA-FYLA-SC-001 updated to match.
