That's very helpful for those situations where I actually understand the underlying code, thank you.

However, I don't understand the underlying C++ and after a few hours of trying to solve the issue, I realized someone had already solved it, the fix had just never been pushed to crates.io. It's not as comprehensive a fix as I'd like, but it works better than my personal attempts at fixing it, which caused buffer overflows.

This is kind of a cop-out, as far as fixing it goes, but... sigh. There's only so much energy I have for dealing with this.

Thanks again for the suggestion. I'm actually surprised anybody has their eyes on the repo itself.
