About Big Data for Complex Disease

The Big Data for Complex Disease (BDCD) Driver Programme uses large-scale, population-wide health data to improve the prevention, early detection, diagnosis and management of complex diseases.

The programme has an initial focus on cardiovascular disease and cancer, including the relationships between these conditions. It also supports research into other complex diseases and the inequalities that affect disease risk, diagnosis, treatment and outcomes.

BDCD brings together health data, research infrastructure and expertise from across the UK. The British Heart Foundation Data Science Centre supports the programme through cardiovascular data science expertise, research resources and work with population-wide health datasets.

Research outputs

Research repositories may contain analysis plans, protocols, code, code lists, documentation and other outputs produced through BDCD-supported work.

Project-specific information is maintained within each project repository rather than being duplicated here.

Finding repositories

BDCD project repositories use names beginning with BDCD.

Search the BHF DSC GitHub organisation for repositories beginning with BDCD
