Sorry I can't see a discussions section, so thought I would throw this in here.
Firstly, thanks for your great work in getting this working! I spent a lot of time trying to do this at the beginning of the year capturing advertisements from my Dimplex remote control, but kept hitting a brick wall.
I'm in no way a "coder" and still very much getting my head around Github.
I hope you didn't mind, but I forked your repo and spent a bit of time getting my head around how it worked. I'm pleased to say i have managed to get this working on my Dimplex Penngrove Unit after tweaking the relevent files, such as the command bytes for each button press, along with the trailer byte code that needed changing. I also found my Dimplex unit only allows one remote control to be paired at a time, so have sucessfully managed to make it so the ESP32 uses the same MAC Address, therefore allowing both the physical remote and the ESP32 to work at the same time.
I've tailored the configuration a little more to what my remote control buttons do accordingly. I'm hoping this might help other people in the future who may have the same remote that came with my Penngrove unit.
I've still to update the README, but hoping this opens up compatability for others out there.
