What is the compatibility of LaTex rendering

My large model's output is not wrapped with $$

Hey, thanks for reporting this! 👋

The \[...\] and \(...\) LaTeX delimiters aren't currently supported by the math rendering pipeline. The @streamdown/math plugin uses remark-math + rehype-katex under the hood, and remark-math (via micromark-extension-math) only recognizes $ and $$ delimiters.

This is an upstream limitation in the remark-math ecosystem rather than something we can fix in ai-elements directly. A couple of workarounds:

1. Pre-process your model output — transform \[...\] → $$...$$ and \(...\) → $...$ before passing content to the component.
2. Request upstream support — open an issue on micromark-extension-math to add support for these delimiters.

Closing as won't fix since this is outside the scope of this project, but hopefully one of the workarounds helps!
