Free credit balance shows as depleted — user unable to test the app #3105

User Tony reported on 19/05/2026 that their credit balance appears exhausted and they are unable to use the app to test it out. The app displays an "out of balance" message.

Team follow-up on 26/05/2026 outlined three possible causes: (1) user may be trying to use cloud API credits with a local Ollama model (local runs don't consume balance), (2) app may be defaulting to a paid cloud model instead of the intended local model, (3) balance may be expired or tied to a plan tier that doesn't apply to the current usage.

No response from user since follow-up. Which model was active when the error occurred has not been confirmed. Resolution status unknown.
