User-Defined Pose Configurations

Is there a way that you can easily import the same user-defined pose configuration across projects?

Hey @GettyScience2 !

Yes there is a workaround I use when there are many body-parts and I don’t want to fight with the GUI.

When you create a project in SimBA with a specific body-part configuration, all that happens is that the chosen body-parts get listed in a CSV file at location project_folder\logs\measures\pose_configs\bp_names\project_bp_names.csv of your SimBA project.
When you import new data into a SimBA project, SimBA will look at this file, to know what column names to insert into each of your imported file, what to populate your dropdowns with (e.g., what body-part to you want to use to compute the distance travelled with? etc..).

In user-defined cases, I (i) create a project with whatever body-part names, maybe just two per animal, and saved that project, and (ii) go into that file and modify the body-part names manually in the CSV file.

Let me know if that makes sense – I don’t have a GUI option to do this, as little beats doing it manually in terms of speed. But if you have suggestions I am all hears!
