fix: Automation Permission in Tahoe 26.4 does not show SimplyTrack to Enable

Describe the bug
Per instructions under Setup & Permissions / Required Permissions...

1. Automation Permission: To track browser activity
   System Preferences → Privacy & Security → Automation
   Enable SimplyTrack for your browsers (Safari, Chrome, Edge)
   --- On Tahoe 26.4 it does not show the app to enable it or to choose browsers so it does not track any websites

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to System Preferences → Privacy & Security → Automation
2. SimplyTrack is not seen and there is no way to add it

Expected behavior
SimplyTrack should be seen under Automation if that is what is needed to track websites.

Hey, thanks for reporting this. I just tested on Tahoe 26.4 (25E246) and everything works fine on my end.

Just a heads up, SimplyTrack currently only supports Safari, Chrome, Edge, and Arc for website tracking. Vivaldi and Firefox aren't supported yet, so they won't be tracked.

Could you try resetting the permissions and starting fresh? Here's what to do:

1. Quit SimplyTrack
2. Open Terminal and run these two commands:

tccutil reset AppleEvents com.renjfk.SimplyTrack
tccutil reset Accessibility com.renjfk.SimplyTrack

3. Open SimplyTrack again
4. Open Chrome, as macOS only prompts for Automation permission when the app actually tries to communicate with a browser, so you need to have a browser running for the prompt to appear

After that, SimplyTrack should show up under Automation in System Settings and you should be good to go. Let me know if it works!

Thanks. I was using Vivaldi where it wasn't working. It works on Chrome and I see it under Automation now.

Great to hear! I'll close this issue now. Feel free to open a new one requesting Vivaldi support. Since it's Chromium based, it should be feasible to add.
