Both $rdist_uniform and $rdist_normal are parts of the Verilog-A standard but currently not implemented by OpenVAF, could you please add them to the OpenVAF so as to better promote the wide application prospects of it ?

The C code for these probability distributions come from IEEE Standard for Verilog®
Hardware Description Language, Section 17.9.3 Algorithm for probabilistic distribution functions

Which may be found online, possibly as verilog-std-1364-2005.pdf. This should give you the same random number generation for the same seed as you would see in a commercial tool. Note that there may be newer versions of this standard available.

The same distributions are available in Rust, however you may not get the same sequence of numbers for the same seed.

In Verilog there are a bunch of things which are $<function> which are meant to be user-space functions (written in C), you can probably add that mechanism in OpenVAF so you can do it yourself. Kev.
