Update/remove copyright?

I've been reading up on internal Red Hat copyright notice guidelines for open source projects, and I can't tell what part would be copyright Red Hat?
The guidelines, if copyright would remain, is to change it to:
Copyright Red Hat

I propose it to be removed unless there is something truly copyrighted.

Happy to follow whatever guidelines are in place, @jimmysjolund. Historically, the justification for specifying Red Hat as the copyright holder was twofold:

1. Red Hat was the project's sponsor, and
2. Red Hat was a legal entity actually capable of enforcing copyright infringements (i.e., if someone misused the materials, Red Hat was the actual entity that could/would seek redress—the Open Organization isn't really a legal entity of any kind)

All our materials are licensed with a Creative Commons license that essentially says "The copyright holder expressly grants you these freedoms with respect to this work." A copyright statement is critical for specifying who, in this case, is granting these freedoms 😄 . That said, I have no strong feelings either way. Always best to follow the guidance, so let us know what you've found internally and we can be sure to align with it.
