Compatibility with Darling

While not a prerequisite per se, compatibility with Darling would facilitate cross-platform development and testing dramatically by providing summary testing without access to macOS.

Currently the following snags have been identified:

• Features file extraction halts on tar command

It is currently unclear whether the issues at hand are specific to Darling, and frankly its removal from Nixpkgs makes me sad.
