Auto Log not working as expected

When I uncheck the General/Auto Log setting, I expect to see no output unless I log something explicitly. Currently, however, even though I don't have any logpoints, console.log, or magic comments in use, my output pane is flooded with information, which makes it difficult to focus on the function I'm working on.
Would it be possible to add a select menu with options for how much to log by default? That way, I would have way more control over logging.

What you're seeing here is very odd. As you said, the output panel should be clear.
I see that even the assignment on line 5 is being logged, which wouldn't even happen with auto log on.
Do you see the same result if you paste the code into a fresh tab?

Thank you, that solved the problem for me and the auto log works now as expected. I think I messed up some internal state by extending the tab further. For now it works for me, but maybe something for furhter investigation. Unfortunately I don't know how to reproduce it yet. Once I know, I'll leave a comment.

It wasn't easy, but I was able to reproduce it with this code snippet:

const arr1 = [1, 2, 3]
const arr2 = ['a', 'b', 'c']

function lorem(arr) {
  return arr.map((el) => el)
}

function ipsum(arr) {
  return arr.filter((el) => el === 1)
}

lorem(arr1)
lorem(arr2)
ipsum(arr1)
ipsum(arr2)

1. Add logpoints to line 4 and 12.
2. Add a magic comment //? in line 4
3. Run the code (Output: [1, 2, 3])
4. Cut the code and paste it back
5. Run the code again (Output is [1, 2, 3], even though there is no logpoint nor magic comment)

FYI: Auto log is turned off

Thanks! Really appreciate this.
It seems to be an issue with stale logpoints being persisted. The issue can be replicated even without step 2. I'll include a fix for this in the next release. 👍
