Tour Type Taxonomy & Fast-Facts

Parent Epic: Tour Info & Metadata Enhancements

We want to introduce a new “Tour Type” taxonomy for Tours. Examples:

• Scheduled Group Tour
• Tailor-Made Tour
• Private Tour

This will:

• Help categorize tours more clearly.
• Display this info in the Tour Fast Facts section.

Scope

• Register a new “Tour Type” taxonomy in the plugin.
• Add admin UI for managing Tour Types.
• Create a block variation or shortcode to display Tour Type in Fast Facts.
• Apply consistent styling from LSX Design System.
• Ensure the Tour Type is optional:
  • If not assigned, hide the Fast Fact automatically.

Acceptance Criteria

• “Tour Type” appears in the WP Admin for Tours.
• Tours with assigned Tour Types display them in Fast Facts.
• Fast Facts styling matches LSX Design System.
• No errors if Tour Type is missing.
• Fully responsive and accessible.
