Dynamic Content & Query Blocks

Type: Parent Issue / Epic

We need dynamic blocks to showcase collections of Tours, Destinations, and Accommodations throughout the site. This enables:

• Flexible content grids
• Related content displays
• Easy filtering via block settings

These blocks will replace hard-coded queries and help maintain design consistency across different pages.

• Post Type Collection Blocks
• Automated Related Content Sections

Goal

Allow editors to easily insert lists or grids of content filtered by custom criteria while maintaining the LSX Design System look and feel.

Scope

• Develop reusable query loop block variations for different post types.
• Include layout and styling controls matching LSX styles.
• Support “Related” content logic based on shared taxonomy terms.
• Ensure blocks are responsive and performant.

Acceptance Criteria

• Editors can easily add dynamic content blocks from the block inserter.
• Blocks render consistently with design system styling.
• Related content blocks automatically fetch appropriate posts.
• No significant performance degradation.
