macOS "failed to find chromium executable"

I just downloaded and built a copy of Sharedown but receive an error message while trying to download a SharePoint link:
"failed to find chromium executable"

I think the issue is due to my lack of a code signing certificate and macOS is blocking access to the chromium executable. I had a similar issue with the manually-installed yt-dlp (file present in PATH, but error message stating it wasn't; had to allowlist the file via macOS System Settings).

From build logs, I can see:

you can try to allow bundled chrome if possible, its in node_modules folder
or try to use external chrome

In Sharedown Settings, I just tried setting the Chromium executable to:
Sharedown/dist/mac-arm64/sharedown.app/Contents/Resources/app.asar.unpacked/node_modules/puppeteer/chrome-headless-shell/mac_arm-131.0.6778.108/chrome-headless-shell-mac-arm64/chrome-headless-shell

It's still running, doing something becuase I had to unlock Keychain, but I don't know what. Is this the correct file to set, or should I use Sharedown/dist/mac-arm64/sharedown.app/Contents/Resources/app.asar.unpacked/node_modules/puppeteer/chrome/mac_arm-131.0.6778.108/chrome-mac-arm64/Google\ Chrome\ for\ Testing.app/Contents/MacOS/Google\ Chrome\ for\ Testing?

Answering my own question: I had to use the non-headless version so that I could log in. Now, the download has started!

My immediate issue is resolved, but I think there's some kind of bug that the app's built-in executable is not used correctly without manual Settings override.

headless is no gui version

this may be a sonoma+ issue, i got access to a sonoma mac so in coming days i'll try to run the app there
