The README mentions that your .Xresources file should be there, but it's not in the repository. Because of this, my backspace and delete keys aren't working properly. Could you please provide it?

Ah, that's odd, I’m not sure if I removed the file at some point or simply never added it. Anyway, here's my Xresources file from my machine; hopefully it helps. The st properties are the relevant ones.

It’s been a while since I patched st, and it’s been working fine for me ever since, so I’m a bit surprised that the Del and Backspace keys aren't working for u just because of a missing Xresources file. Might also be worth double-checking your config.h just in case. Insructions on how to load the Xresources are in the Readme somehwere iirc.

thank you very much! it's really quite interesting why Delete button doesn't work correctly. By the way, the backspase button also works strangely for me. in the terminal, it has a delay of 1 second before deleting a character, and in vim, it puts "^?" when pressed. Don't know why?

are you using zsh or sth like that? Maybe try without dot files in your home dir / a different shell to pinpoint the solution.
