No menu entry on newest Steam Client Beta

Web Browser itself seems to ge working. It's only the Steam Button menu entry that's missing.

Same here. The browse icon on steam menu is missing. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, restart, update SteamOS, even reinstalling decky loader but to no avail.

Thanks for creating the issue. I’d also like to report that it’s broken for me on both the latest Stable and Beta builds. This is a brand new issue on my end, so I’m hoping the wizard behind the curtain is already cooking up a fix for us peasants soon.

An update was just pushed to Web Browser and I got excited immediately. Unfortunately, the Browser menu entry still seems broken—or at least not fixed yet. The plugin itself still rocks though. If you're willing to dive into Quick Access and launch your homepage for Web Browser, we pray and carry on.

I don't know anything about Typescript or writing a Decky plugin, but I was able to roughly trace the code path:

• The Steam menu object is updated by the menuPatch.patchMenu() method. I don't see any messages related to this method in home/deck/homebrew/logs/DeckWebBrowser, which suggests the method is not getting called at any point during the plugin's execution.
• patchMenu is called by the index.definePlugin method, which I believe is called by the Decky Loader itself when it loads each plugin. So I guess it's supposed to only run when the plugin is initialized by the loader. When I look at the Decky Loader log created by the command journalctl -b0 -u plugin_loader.service, I can see it get loaded and perform the WebSocket setup, but nothing else.

My extremely uneducated best guess is that something goes wrong during initialization and patchMenu never gets called, but there's not enough logging/error catching to explain the cause of the problem.
