I think it might increase the reach of these resources if we made this repository into a Github pages website. What do you think?

Great idea! I don't have any experience setting up a gh-pages, but I'm game for giving it a try! I agree the current setup isn't ideal.

My recommendation would be to pick a theme at http://themes.gohugo.io/ and use blogdown.
