SoverGrid — Universal DePIN Grant Pitch

SoverGrid — The Web2 Distribution Layer for Decentralized Infrastructure
Tagline
One CLI command. Deploy anywhere. No AWS. No censorship.
The Problem
Web3 compute networks like Filecoin have solved the hard infrastructure problem — decentralized, censorship-resistant, and significantly cheaper than AWS.
But developer adoption is stalling because of one unsolved problem: friction.
Deploying to Web3 networks requires managing utility tokens, learning native CLIs, writing complex manifest files, and understanding Kubernetes — before a developer can deploy a single app.
Web2 developers are used to Vercel and Railway, where vercel deploy gets an app live in 30 seconds. Because Web3 lacks this UX, developers default back to centralized providers even when they want to decentralize.
The Solution
SoverGrid is an open-source Python CLI and backend Orchestrator that abstracts the full complexity of deploying to Filecoin.
pip install sovergrid
sovergrid deploy myapp.yaml
Developers write standard Python or Node.js applications — no manifest files, no token management, no Kubernetes knowledge required.
What SoverGrid does automatically:
- Detects the framework (FastAPI, Next.js, Express, etc.).
- Generates an optimized Dockerfile automatically.
- Submits the deployment to
Filecoin with the correct configuration.
- Handles all Payment Routing via Smart Contract: Developers pay in USDC. The SoverGridVault smart contract instantly splits the payment, sending 60% directly to the
Filecoin node provider, and 40% to the SoverGrid Real Yield Treasury.
- Web2 Fiat On-Ramp Integration: We use the Ramp Network Public API so developers who do not own crypto can pay with a credit card. Ramp seamlessly converts the fiat to USDC, bridging Web2 developers to Web3 infrastructure without friction.
- Returns a live URL in under 60 seconds.
Why This Benefits Filecoin Directly
Every developer who uses SoverGrid is a new tenant for Filecoin.
SoverGrid does not compete with your network. SoverGrid is a distribution layer that brings Web2 developers — who have never heard of Web3 manifests or utility tokens — directly onto your compute network.
What Is Already Built
The SoverGrid ecosystem is already fully functional locally:
- CLI (
sovergrid-cli): Live and tested.
- Backend Orchestrator: FastAPI backend ready to plug into
Filecoin's SDK.
- Financial Engine (
SoverGridVault.sol): Smart contract written in Solidity that splits USDC payments and utilizes a TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price) algorithmic stabilization module to protect token value from MEV attacks.
- Documentation: Comprehensive Developer Docs and Whitepaper built.
Grant Request & Budget Breakdown
We are requesting $50,000 to fund the completion of the Filecoin integration, front-end dashboard development, and smart contract security audits.
Milestone 1: Backend Integration ($15,000)
- Full integration of the
Filecoin SDK into the SoverGrid Orchestrator.
- End-to-end testing of dynamic workload routing.
Milestone 2: Fiat On-Ramp & Dashboard ($20,000)
- Development of the Web Dashboard for developers.
- Integration of the Ramp Network API for credit card payments.
Milestone 3: Security & Mainnet Launch ($15,000)
- Professional audit of the
SoverGridVault smart contract.
- Mainnet deployment and public launch campaign driving initial developers to deploy on
Filecoin.
