macos version broken

Some of the test don't pass on macos. I probably caused this with my changes around flow creation/destruction. The tests did pass on a x86 based macos VM, but seem to be failing on arm64 darwin which is probably the now more relevant platform.

I would like to know what is the expectation around macos support. This was probably already discussed at some point, but I was not in the room for that. Maybe someone can enlighten me?

• The aim is to support macOS as a developer platform, not as an official deployment platform. Some features may not be fully available on macOS
• There is a github builder for macos-26. @KimonHoffmann will investigate.
