It may be best to move the content of the blog directory from 'config' and add it to a new directory named controllers, and change the file name from index to articleController.js

I also think it'll be cool to make a new branch for mongo integration allowing articles to be retrieved from a database and allow users to edit and create new articles from within the app.

While I agree with the first one. The second one no.

The objective goal behind SlimNode was to create a Flat File blogging system. The idea was for no DB to be required at all.
