Status of v0.7.0 release and Hugging Face model usage

The Py-FEAT changelog documents v0.7.0 and indicates that model weights are now hosted on Hugging Face. However, PyPI currently lists 0.6.2 as the latest release, and GitHub releases do not appear to include a tagged 0.7.0 release.

Would you please clarify:

1. Is v0.7.0 officially released, or is it currently development-only?
2. What is the recommended installation command for v0.7.0?
3. Should users install from GitHub main, a tag, or wait for PyPI?

We are using Py-FEAT in a reproducible research pipeline and need to decide whether to pin 0.6.2 or migrate to 0.7.0.

Hi, I would recommend using the main github version for the moment (that is effectively the 0.7 release that we never officially released). but within hopefully the upcoming week we will be releasing v2.0 that is a complete overhaul of everything from models, to docs. There are a number of new features and massive performance improvements in both accuracy and speed. All of the work is in the 0.7-dev branch if you want to peek, but note that it is undergoing quick iterations.
