RESTORATION_ENGINE.md

ĀML Restoration Engine

Version 1.0 Draft

1. Overview

The AML Restoration Engine evaluates whether a rendered system improves the condition of the human interacting with it.

Traditional systems optimize:

  • engagement
  • retention
  • stimulation
  • behavioral extraction

The AML Restoration Engine instead evaluates:

  • clarity
  • coherence
  • comprehension
  • cognitive stabilization
  • emotional regulation
  • restoration of agency

The engine exists to measure whether interaction leaves the user more whole rather than more fragmented.

2. Core Principle

A rendered system should restore more than it consumes.

Core equation:

render_allowed =
  restoration_value >= attention_cost
