Make URDF files for chess pieces and chessboard

A simple workaround can be to design/import the designs of the chess pieces in a CAD software such as solidworks/Fusion 360 and export the STL files as URDF. You can follow the given link to convert stl files to URDF format here:

Are the designs of the chess pieces already made, or is it yet to be done?

It is to be done. I'd suggest you to make the designs of chess pawns over Fusion 360 and get going.

I have made a pull request in the simulations repo.
It contains the URDF files for the chess pieces
