Invalid date while importing OFX file

I am importing a OFX file which uses the following format for date:

20120215

This is making ofx-parser throw an error saying "invalid date"

Could you upload a gist of a reduced or redacted OFX file that reproduces the problem?

I encounter the same problem when the OFX file does not contain the tag parsed here, not sure if this tag is mandatory in OFX convention
