Steps to Reproduce

join hypixel.net on a 1.12.2 client with viaforge version on 1.8.9

Expected Behavior

it should let u join

Hypixel is generally unsupported, you're very likely to be banned if even can join

But this seems a real issue after /give minecraft:lit_furnace result nothing on client side (empty hand) but can place the furnaces after clicking on other blocks tested on my 1.8.9 server

I think overwriting the methods will likely breaking other things (even existing singleplayer worlds)
Hypixel is generally unsupported anyways, and I don't think there's a second server handles Forge handshakes like it
The safe fix is have the dummy lit_furnace item, and having an option to enable it and register (which will forces other players install to join while opening to LAN), or some other way to dymanically adding it to registry while connecting

Singleworld will not be affected by those 2 methods. Actrually, when using viaversion, it focuses on whether you can join the server, nobody will likely use it with other mods that need to register new blocks(items, etc..). The Hypixel is not the only one that needs to handle the forge packets, any server that checks FML mods will likely check handshake too.

Another solution is, we can remove the exceptions by ASM injection, or make it run in your new thread pool. But I'm lazy, so I simply overwrite it.
