Insurgency Redux is very good but it could be better, playable units are very restricted and it always descends in to needing a player helicopter to get resupplied and for transport. Below is a list of actions I would like to take to improve it.

Insurgency Core

  • Review player number role restrictions (while some restrictions should be present, I believe it goes too far at present). Potential things to remove; Running with backpacks, CAS Jet player numbers, Armoured Vehicle player restrictions, Anything else?
  • Remove "Campaign Mode" where when a Platoon Commander role joins it moves to a domination style stronghold assault.
  • Modernise playable units (will be addressed in [SUGGESTION] Rework Public Config #430)
  • Port in AI helicopter support script for Transport, Supplies and CAS, While a player helicopter will still be possible it will make it less vital (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1610601744)
  • Explore potential new features, objective types etc. Insurgent Hide Out, Revenge Attack for friendly towns?

Map Specific

  • Split modern in to 2010s and 2020s for maps (Will require Virtus mod, Matador mod etc).
  • Split Millennial in to 1990s and 2020s for maps.
  • Bring Lythium in to Public, set up insurgency for the map.
  • Explore options for Bala Murghab map insurgency, previously had error message but may be fixed.
  • Explore options for a cold war (troubles) Insurgency.
