Guidelines

  • I have searched the issue tracker for open and closed issues that are similar to the feature request I want to file, without success.
  • I'm on the latest version.
  • I'm not using a test build (alpha/beta/release-candidate).
  • This issue contains only one bug.

Describe the bug

I really like Neo-Launcher! Thanks to you guys, the quality of life on my phone is now what I hoped for I bought it. If only phone manufacturers' pre-installed launcher apps were as good as yours (or at least weren't bloated with so much rubbish).

Anyway I'm just logging this with a fix for others. Maybe the HMD Fusion has a special integration with the HMD Launcher app for the "Super Battery Saver" (SBS) feature - it seems to be easily turned off when using that as the default home app. But when:

  • I have Neo set as the default home app,
  • and I scroll down from top
  • select battery settings
  • enable "Super Battery Saver"
  • after it does its thing, I can no longer scroll down from the top and have quick access to the settings menu. On the HMD Launcher as default home app this is different, but as above, I suspect that the way SBS works is, the HMD Launcher provides a quick way too exit SBS mode, and go back to normal mode, with access to the top fly down settings menu. It does say SBS mode restricts apps, so maybe that prevents Neo from working normally.

Work around:

  • access settings app from the app menu (scroll up bottom dock), (or from your home screen if it's already on there).
  • Change default home app to HMD launcher
  • Double check SBS mode is off, as you wish
  • Change default home app back to Neo lancher once you're done with SBS mode.

Expected Behavior

The top settings menu should still work normally in Super Battery Saver (SBS) mode, the same as it does in the HMD Launcher, allowing SBS to be exitted, and other settings to be adjusted easily.
