`.gitignore`d files are being indexed and showing up in search results

some indexing is still needed otherwise basic searching doesn't work. i don't want to break searching entirely because it's something that the original jetbrains git client supported.

i did notice the other day that gitignored files are being included search results though. i'll open a separate issue for that
