Media Cropping

Using the crop feature doesn't work as expected to reduce the size/border of the media. It does other things moving left, right up and down but I would like to reduce the sides as what I know cropping to do.

Please revisit this feature or add the cut away border function.

I guess my question was if you used the new media item cropping or the (global) media cropping?

The cropping itself works as expected, it's just that the size has to be stretched manually, as you pointed out.

I have plans to make a better crop like other softwares, that's why I kept this open.

I am pushing my luck. Can you give us a transparent background instead of the solid black in the default styles color or allow us to used the 8 character Hex code to obtain transparency?

You can turn on "Transparent" display in the output settings (when NDI is on).

Yes, but I am not using NDI. I am trying to eliminate the green screen process for the lower thirds output to the Atem in streaming.

But then the computer background would show behind the window!? So I don't think that would work.

So far the video over-layer / animated lower third and lyrics works nicely with the NDI on but I don't want to affect the computer performance with it unnecessarily. The processor fan is running excessively.

What I did was to send one display (specific output) as a video input to the Atem as an "up stream" and add it as picture in picture via the "on air" feature. When I use the green screen sometimes it comes out as a spill when the overlays stopped but it's seamless with the transparent background via the NDI feature. hence my request for the transparency.

Okay, I guess the Blackmagic integration would resolve this.
